Bio: To protect the privacy and confidentiality of my foster children, I'll keep my specifics/details brief. In my early 20's, while in a relationship for about a year with a man, he and I were asked to temporarily raise his nephews, until the biologicial parents made some improvements to their lives and could have the children back. From that June decision in 2001, my life has changed in unpredictable ways, seemingly without purpose yet always with purpose. At the time I was a working professional, ironically or not, as a counsellor with young children around the same age these boys were. My only committments at that time were to my relationship with this man and my career (and my cats). Needless to say, my life changed drastically and despite the momentary wonderings if it was for the worst, at the end of most days, I knew it was all changing for the better.
